Who or what is Denzel Washington pointing at in this new poster for THE GREAT DEBATERS? Maybe the cameraman’s shoelace is untied? Maybe a rat just scurried across the room? Or maybe he’s just setting a troubled youth on the road to redemption. Either way, this poster for his second directorial effort is simple effective and boring, and that background colour makes me crave egg nog. Hold on, I’ma go get a glass. Okay, I’m back. THE GREAT DEBATERS is the true story about an all-black debate team that goes on to compete against the juggernaut Harvard debating team. The film hits on Christmas day so you can head to the theatre and use your brand new camcorder to record it and throw this sucker online.
