Whoa! Crazy doctor! Sick experiments! Surgical gore! And Michael Berryman as one hulking freak! Yup, ya just can’t beat the new trailer for THE TENANT, which your bros here at AITH just so happened to post for you below. I’m telling you, this looks like one sickly ideal little horror specimen. I can’t recommend checking out the trailer enough. To further fan your interest, I’ll post the synopsis right now:
A simple man, Dr. Walter Newman, has high aspirations to cure all disease through genetic manipulation. His obsession with his mission draws him deeper into his own dark world, distracting him from his wife Olivia and from his responsibilities to his patients at the Edgewood Asylum. The doctor’s loyal but diabolical nurse, Ms. Tinsley, decides to take matters into her own hands and in secret she conducts her own experiment. When Dr. Newman realizes what has been done, a deformed creature that defies nature is created. Part human, part nightmare. Dr. Newman knows what he must do, but is it already too late?
Damn, that sure seems to have the makings of a good time! THE TENANT is coming from the mind of first time writer/director, Ric La Monte. In addition to Berryman, his cast is comprised of J. LaRose, Bill Cobbs, Georgia Chris, Sylvia Boykin, and Randy Molnar. No news yet on an official release date, but for more info, you can check out its great official site right here.
