Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong stars in the trailer for Ordinary World

ORDINARY WORLD follows the mid-life crisis of a husband and father who, on his 40th birthday, decides to revisit his punk-rock past by throwing an extravagant party in the presidential suite of the Drake Hotel – where he encounters his beautiful ex-girlfriend and former bandmates who have since moved on to bigger and better things.

I don't know how well Billie Joe Armstrong's acting chops fare, but I've enjoyed a handful of Green Day songs over the years. One wonders if he's working out any demons with this story. Lee Kirk (THE GIANT MECHANICAL MAN), on the other hand, I am not familiar with. Hopefully he takes advantage of Armstrong's experience and is able to craft something that feels genuine or, at the very least, entertaining.

ORDINARY WORLD will hit select theaters, Digital HD and On Demand on October 14th.
