It’s Ben Stiller back to his serious roots.
In GREENBERG, it’s the typical story of a middle aged man trying to figure out his life. Within that decision he decides to do nothing. On a road to nowhere, Greenberg starts spending time with his Brother’s assistant, Florence (Greta Gerwig) while sitting his home in Los Angeles. Florence is a bit of a lost soul herself, and finds a kinship with Greenberg.
Directing is Noah Baumbach (THE SQUID AND THE WHALE) who also wrote the screenplay based on a story from himself and wife, Jennifer Jason Leigh.
As a massive REALITY BITES fan, I’ve actually longed for more serious Stiller. This looks like it might be really good, hip indie music and all. I might be a sucker for a decent life crisis. The eternal struggle of self. Check the trailer out in HD over at Apple.
