Gugino gets Witchy

JoBloJoBlo

We’re still a year from seeing her as slinky superhero Silk Spectre in WATCHMEN, but sexy Carla Gugino is keeping plenty busy in the meantime. Once she finishes the thriller UNBORN, she’ll be joining Disney’s new RACE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN.

The “reimagining” of the beloved (??) 1975 Disney flick ESCAPE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN stars Dwayne “The Rock no more” Johnson as a Vegas cabbie. While that alone is unlikely enough, he also picks up a pair of siblings with magical powers who must be protected from evil men so they can save the human race from impending doom.

Alexander Ludwig and hottie-in-training AnnaSophia Robb play the youngsters, while Gugino will be a “discredited astrophysicist and UFO expert” who lends a hand and maybe some cleavage. The update comes from director Andy Fickman, who helped devolve The Rock’s career as an action star with the painful family football comedy THE GAME PLAN.
