Well, kiddies, we have ourselves the first H2 (Rob Zombie’s sequel to HALLOWEEN) update of 2009! And it’s a pretty big one! Dimension Films has just announced the official release date for the flick! And that date, my friends, is August 28, 2009, which is basically the same time the first one opened two years ago.

I thought that the studio was aiming for an October release to be more in tune with All Hallow’s Eve, but I didn’t mind when the last one opened in August and I don’t mind that the sequel is also opening in August. I’m just so friggin’ pleased and pumped that we’re going to see more Michael Myers on the big screen! I still can’t believe it’s happening this year!

On a side note, Zombie’s TYRANNOSAURUS REX has officially been pulled off Dimension’s release table. No biggie. I can wait on that one.

I’d like to officially kick off my “2009 Bring Annie Back” campaign.
