Haley a Watchman?

I’ve been reading an interesting little rumor all day long, so I thought I’d share it. Having just written about the Zack Snyder interview where he says his WATCHMEN cast will be A-list, I read the news that Jackie Earle Haley, recently an Oscar nominee for his fantastic turn in LITTLE CHILDREN, is being touted as a frontrunner for the role of Rorscach. The rumor comes from the site Comics2Film, which claims that “a friend of Jackie Earle Haley” says Haley is in the running. I’ve been hearing Simon Pegg’s name attached for a while now, although nothing, obviously, has been confirmed. I like both actors though, and either one being involved could only heighten my anticipation for this flick.

Please advise that this is still “rumor,” and while we usually don’t deal in such unfounded info here, I think this one’s worthy of a least a little chatter. Spit some bullets below, let us know how this fits in with YOUR vision of WATCHMEN…
