Halloween’s Jamie Lee Curtis award “Scream Queen of All Time”!

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

The MTV Movie Awards (which are still somehow a thing) have just announced the winners of their "GOAT (Great of All Time)" awards, and none other than Laura Strode herself – Jamie Lee Curtis – took home the prestigious "Scream Queen of All Time", presented to her by Scream‘s Neve Campbell.

Here's what Curtis had to say:

To all of the fans at MTV and obviously all of the fans of horror movies, I thank you personally from the bottom of my heart…It’s been an amazing time. And ya know, MTV was invented in 1981 and Halloween was invented in 1978 so I feel like we’ve grown up together

I would not be standing here were it not for John Carpenter, Debra Hill, Irwin Yablans and Moustapha Akkad…And now, all these years later, David Gordon Green, Malek Akkad, Blumhouse, Universal, Miramax, have all come together to bring you another Halloween and now two more.”

You can watch the rest of it for yourself in the video at the top of the article!

Meanwhile, you can next see Curtis reprise her iconic role in the upcoming Halloween Kills, which will  be released in theaters (hopefully) October 15, 2021!

So what do you guys think? Agree with this choice? Either way, sound off below!
