Fresh off of working together on the sci-fi action thriller ABEYANCE, director Harley Wallen and HALLOWEEN 2007 star Scout Taylor-Compton are set to team up again on the "urban legend thriller" ASH AND BONE, which will begin filming in Lake Orion, Michigan this month.
Taylor-Compton is joined in the cast by Angelina Danielle Cama, Kaiti Wallen, Jimmy Doom, Erika Hoveland, Calhoun Koenig, Shane Hagedorn, and Harley Wallen himself, with Mel Novak on board to play "Louie the bartender, who has seen and heard it all".
Written by Bret Miller, ASH AND BONE will tell the story of
Cassie Vanderbilt (Cama), a rebellious teen whose wild streak escalates as her caring father Lucas (Harley Wallen) decides to take her and his new wife Sarah (Kaiti Wallen) out of the city for some bonding and quality time together. But after Cassie crosses the infamous McKinley family (Doom and Hoveland), it becomes clear that sometimes danger lies hidden in the weeds, ready to strike at any moment.
Taylor-Compton's character is Anna, "the local young woman who gets sucked into a bit of a dare to check out on the infamous McKinleys."
Harley Wallen had this to say about the project:
I am incredibly excited, I feel I have all the ingredients to make a film that can catch fire, I loved working with Scout the first time around and I know how excited we both are to sink our teeth into this story."
ASH AND BONE is being produced by Painted Creek Productions, Cama Productions, and Auburn Moon. Annett Cama serves as executive producer, with Nancy Oeswein as assistant producer.
