It was just a few days ago that we stumbled upon the official website for Hammer Films’ THE WOMAN IN BLACK and now here we are with an official release date for this shite! As of a few days ago we knew this flick would be dropping sometime in February 2012 but thanks to CBS Films we now have the exact date!
So when will you be able to see Daniel Radcliffe in some post-HARRY POTTER action? February 3, 2012, that’s when! We also got word that it’ll be hitting the UK just a week later on February 10, 2012. So there you have it folks, now we have something to look forward to.
THE WOMAN IN BLACK stars Daniel Radcliffe as Arthur Kipps, a young lawyer who travels to a remote village to organize a recently deceased client’s papers. As Kipps works alone in the client’s isolated house, he begins to uncover tragic secrets, his unease growing when he glimpses a mysterious woman dressed only in black. Receiving only silence from the locals, Kipps is forced to uncover the true identity of the Woman in Black on his own, leading to a desperate race against time when he discovers her true intent.
Coming from director James Watkins, THE WOMAN IN BLACK is based on the novel by Susan Hill and stars Radcliffe, Shaun Dooley, Cathy Sara, Mary Stockley, Roger Allam, Liz White, Lucy May Barker, Tim McMullan, Alisa Khazanova (below), Daniel Cerqueira, David Burke and Victor McGuire.
