Hasbro releases episodes of the OG G.I. Joe animated series on YouTube

Stuck inside for the foreseeable future? Well, today we learned that Hasbro has just released episodes of the greatest 1980s G.I. JOE: A REAL AMERICAN HERO animated series on YouTube. These fifteen episodes include the first two five-part miniseries — "The M.A.S.S. Device" and "The Revenge of Cobra" — as well as the first five-part story of Season 1, "The Pyramid of Darkness."

This popular animated series from the mid-1980s tells the saga of

a fearless, globe-trotting special missions force — called G.I. Joe — which works to combat Cobra, an organization with an evil commander bent on world domination. On land, on sea, and in the air — whenever trouble breaks out around the world, G.I. Joe is there, ready to battle for ideals that America values.

G.I. JOE: A REAL AMERICAN HERO was created by Ron Friedman (FANTASTIC FOUR: THE ANIMATED SERIES) based on the toyline from Hasbro. The cartoon ran in syndication from 1983 to 1986. Stream them HERE.
