Hellboy 2 in May

For those who can’t get enough of their HELLBOY, get ready to hold onto your butts: according to star Ron Perlman via The L.A. Daily News, HELLBOY 2: THE GOLDEN ARMY has started pre-production, and is looking to start filming at the end of this May!

Among other things, Perlman talked about how he’s getting ready to be Hellboy once again: I’m already in the gym six days a week. The push-ups, the sit-ups, the stationary bike. Then, of course, there’s the lifting of the pizza. I have a trainer, and I’m almost housebroken…

It’s also good to see the man has a sense a humor too (to go through all that time in the make-up chair, you’d have to have one!). While HELLBOY was just a moderate success in the theaters during it’s initial run, it’s grown in popularity being on DVD, and has a bigger following than ever before. Director Guillermo del Toro is reported to be in Budapest this week, working on finding some shooting locations.
