For all you fan boys out there who are waiting to see Ron Perlman painted red and to hear his grisly voice spout off borderline campy one-liners, wait no more. Or maybe a little more, as the release date for HELLBOY 2: THE GOLDEN ARMY is August 1st, 2008. The principal cast from HELLBOY is expected to return as well as director Guillermo del Toro.
The plot for the sequel is as follows, a truce between humankind and a realm that is invisible is broken, giving way for a ruthless leader of an unstoppable army of creatures to create hell on earth. So it’s these armies against our red hero in a trench coat. Sounds cool enough to me, now just gotta figure out a way to kill time until summer of 08.’
