Based on the TV show of the same name, THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. follows that of CIA agent Napoleon Solo (Henry Cavill) and KGB operative Illya Kuryakin (Armie Hammer) in the early 1960s as they participate in a joint mission against a mysterious criminal organization, which is working to proliferate nuclear weapons. The period piece was set to star Tom Cruise before he left to pursue another impossible mission, although it looks like Cavill is fitting in quite nicely. Regardless, Guy Ritchie seems to be channeling a serious Bond vibe with his lead actors and a few new stills have popped up to show you them and Elizabeth Debicki (THE GREAT GATSBY) in action.

Frankly, it's been a good 15 years since I've been impressed with Ritchie's work, but I can hardly blame him for the sub-par stories of the action heavy Sherlock Holmes flicks that paled in comparison to BBC's iteration. This isn't quite on anyone's radar yet, but a trailer should be hitting any day now to give us a taste of what we're in for come the end of this summer. All I know is that Armie Hammer deserves A LOT better than THE LONE RANGER.  So do we for that matter!
