After another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps, one led by Captain America (Chris Evans) and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Iron Man's (Robert Downey Jr.) surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability. This is CIVIL WAR.

Some tasty screencaps:

At this point, do you really need to see any more before sitting down in a theater? We know the players involved, in front of and behind the camera, and comic book fans couldn't be more excited. Civil War was a MASSIVE event in comic book history. If anyone else aside from Marvel and the Russo brothers were bringing this story to a single film, I think people would be worried. As it stands, Marvel Studios knows how to translate their characters from the page to the screen, and the Russo's crafted one of the greatest comic book films of all time with CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER. All that's left to do now is wait 2 months and see who comes out on top!

CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR opens on May 6, 2016.
