Hills Run Red begins filming

ComingSoon.net has scored a few set-pics from THE HILLS RUN RED which has just commenced production in Hollywood under the direction of Dave Parker, who’s last stint behind the camera was the 2000 horror flick THE DEAD HATE THE LIVING. It concerns a group of young filmmakers who venture out to unlock the secrets of their favorite grindhouse movie, “The Hills Run Red.” While looking into it, they discover it was in fact the real deal, and they’re unfortunately going to figure prominently in the follow-up. The lead character will be played by an axe (alright, maybe not the lead, but it has a large supporting role at the very least).

Also cool is the fact that David J. Schow is on as a producer. You’ll know Schow as the writer of such flicks as THE CROW, LEATHERFACE, and TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE: THE BEGINNING.
