Kane Hodder just seems like one of those cool dudes out there that you could totally hang out with, kick back a few brews, get smashed and have an awesome night on town, and you wouldn’t even know he’s most fan’s favorite Jason Voorhees.
Today Hodder talked with Fangoria about his cameo role in the Mike Hurst (HOUSE OF THE DEAD II) directed hospital horror flick ROOM 6, starring Jerry O’Connell (SCREAM 2) and Christine Taylor (THE CRAFT). In it, Hodder plays a bum turned demon, and kicks some O’Donnel butt.
Surprisingly enough, Hodder’s fondest moments from the shoot was working with O’Donnel. “I got to do a little scuffling and wrestling around with Jerry, and he’s one of those kind of actors I love to work with, because they know that to make the scene look better, you’ve got to be a little rough.”
Hard to believe a pretty-boy like O’Connel likes it rough and tough (oh man, that really sounded bad), goes to show you can’t judge a book by it’s cover. But what’s really weird about this flick is that it’s a straight to DVD release (courtesy of Anchor Bay). How, with all this star power, are they going to release this straight to DVD? Yet, flicks like TAMARA are given the theaterical (however limited) treatment. I mean, we’re talkin’ that fat kid from STAND BY ME and that hottie from DODGEBALL! These are no frickin’ lightweights here people!
Regardless, Hodder had a good time making this flick, and it should be cool enough to rent when it debuts on DVD June 6th. To learn more of Hodder’s adventures, go ahead and click HERE.
