Hoffman gets Personal

JoBloJoBlo

Dustin Hoffman must be having trouble finding work as an actor, because he’s decided to write, direct, produce, and star in a film called PERSONAL INJURIES, based on the book by Scott Turow. The book follows a personal-injury lawyer, otherwise known as an ambulance chaser, who gets involved with a federal investigation and a female agent with her own secrets. Hoffman bought and read this book himself, and must have seen something in it to inspire such devotion to the project, and I certainly hope the man wouldn’t pour such effort into a project that wasn’t worthwhile. The actor is trying to perfect the script before shooting, because as an actor’s actor, he knows you can’t have a good movie without a good script. Hoffman hopes to have the film out by next summer, despite an impending writer’s strike.
