This past July, Mr. Ammon gave us all the heads up on a new horror flick called THE HORDE which was being produced by Xavier Gens, the man behind last year’s nicely brutal FRONTIERS. This dude really seems to know his horror shite. This HORDE seems poised to kick all kinds of ass. Just look at the plot:
North of Paris. In order to avenge the murder of one of their own by a group of ruthless gangsters, four corrupt cops go on a rampage in a condemned building serving as the mobster’s hideout. Now trapped, the officers are about to be executed when the unimaginable occurs: hordes of bloodthirsty, cannibalistic creatures invade the building, savagely attacking everyone. Unexpected alliances are made when their lives are threatened by the unthinkable.
Pretty intense, huh? With Gens at the helm, I can almost guarantee a slam-bang, bloody good time. And now we have word on who exactly will be starring in HORDE. Check it: Jean-Pierre Martins, Aurélien Recoing, Claude Perron, Alain Figlarz, and Eriq Ebouaney. Know who they are? Me neither. I just hope they’re able to work with a lot of blood because knowing Gens, HORDE should be spilling a ton of it!
The flick was written and directed by both Yannick Dahan and Benjamin Rocher. It has currently entered principal photography with a tentative release date scheduled for some time in 2009
