Time will tell if Daniel Radcliffe will be able to really branch out from his Potter roots, but you have to give the man props for trying. It definitely looks like he has no problem with romantic lead angle in the latest trailer for WHAT IF. In HORNS, Radcliffe is looking to exact some vengeance in the aftermath of his girlfriend's mysterious death, discovering that he's inexplicably growing powers and some nifty horns to boot. A teaser trailer and poster have hit to build up the mystery surrounding that death.

HORNS definitely carries with it a familiar premise but with an unusual twist. I'm really diggin' the atmosphere in the trailer, and I think Radcliffe's a talented young actor. I'm actually happy that he took over this role after Shia Labeouf walked.

HORNS, starring Daniel Radcliffe, Juno Temple, Sabrina Carpenter, and Heather Graham, hits theaters in the UK on October 31, so I imagine a US release won't be long after.
