Deadline got the recent scoop that Warner Bros. has picked up a pitch that will be written by Derek Connolly (JURASSIC WORLD) and will be produced by Warners-based Team Downey partners Robert Downey Jr. (ZODIAC) and Susan Downey. The film, titled CLOAKED, stems from the mind of Robert Downey Jr. who came up with the idea of the film and developed the concept with Connolly before they actually approached the studio. Looks like it worked!
Right now all the goods are being kept quiet, but Deadline is reporting that it is a a supernatural horror comedy in the vein of AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON, which is known for masterfully blending laughs and scares. Of all the great horror comedies out there, it’s interesting that they compare it with AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON. It certainly makes you wonder if CLOAKED is of the werewolf variety. Hopefully we’ll find out soon!
