After not hearing about the project for a year, over the course of the last week we’ve seen the first images, a TV spot, and now the theatrical trailer for CELL 213. The supernatural horror/thriller is scheduled to hit theaters in its native Canada on June 10. The trailer can be viewed below.

The indie flick is directed by Stephen T. Kay (BOOGEYMAN) off the first feature script by Maninder Chana. It stars Eric Balfour, Michael Rooker, Deborah Valente, Bruce Greenwood, Conrad Coates, Marie-Josee Colburn (below), Tamara Gorski, Rothaford Gray, Darren Hynes, Viv Leacock and Peter Nelson.

Cell 213 becomes home to Michael Gray, a cocky young attorney, after a gruesome twist of circumstance lands him in the South River State Penitentiary, framed for the murder of an incarcerated client. Unnatural forces are causing prisoners to ‘off’ themselves at abnormal rates, and Michael soon discovers that matters of guilt and innocence are not as cut and dry as he would like to believe trapped in this nightmarish cell.
