Today’s update can’t really be considered ‘news’ persay but it’s spreading across the net like wild fire and today’s a pretty slow news day so I’m going to go ahead and run with it anyway!
You see the guys over at Total Film recently got a chance to chat it up with actor Idris Elba regarding his role in the upcoming Marvel film THOR. But Elba (right) didn’t spend much time talking about THOR… The actor quickly revealed that he has a picture deal with Marvel so speculation on who he’ll be playing has already started. Elba does mention ‘Luke Cage’ and that’s probably a safe bet… But he’s not ruling out ‘Blade’ as a possibility either:
“I wouldn’t mind having a crack at bringing Blade back, personally.”
We wouldn’t mind seeing the return of ‘Blade’ either… but this schmuck prefers Mr. Wesley Snipes in the role. Mind you this isn’t any sort of confirmation or anything like that… This is just an actor spouting a role from his wishlist. Then again this is Hollywood so we shouldn’t be quick to rule anything out..
We’ll keep our eyes open for news on any and all BLADE projects coming our way, with or without Elba, so be sure to keep it here for that as we hear it!
