Three days ago we netted the first look at Kevin Zegers as a bloodsucker in Shunji Iwai’s new flick VAMPIRE. Today, thanks to the crew of ET Canada, we have the first on-set behind-the-scenes footage from the flick, including insight from Zegers once again, as well as co-star Keisha Castle-Hughes. Sink your teeth into the sumbitch below!
Currently filming in Vancouver, Iwai’s new flick boasts the simple logline of: A vampire school-teacher preys on suicidal students to fill his thirst for blood. Couldn’t get more generic, which is probably a good thing when it comes to spoiler territory. My motto has always been, the less you know going in, the better!
Of course, spilling a little blood, Zegers calls the film a very “romantic serial killer movie,” labeling it “a very earnest, sweet movie that is not grotesque in any way.” Ugh…see what I mean about blissful ignorance?
In addition to those already mentioned, Rachael Leigh Cook (below), Amanda Plummer, Trevor Morgan, Ryan Robbins, Teach Grant, Adelaide Clemens, Samuel Patrick Chu, Mandy Playdon, Jodi Balfour and R. Nelson Brown all assume a role in the picture.
No telling when VAMPIRE will see the light, but stay tuned for more.
