Daniel Bruhl God Particle J. J. Abrams

While CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR is busy scooping up its piles of money with a red, white, and blue bulldozer, one of its lesser-known stars is busy finding his next high profile role. Daniel Brühl, who played the villainous Zemo, is currently in talks to join J. J. Abrams' sci-fi thriller GOD PARTICLE, which is being directed by Julius Onah.

To be fair, Brühl isn't an unknown. He's best known for his role in INGLORIOUS BASTERDS as Fredrick Zoller, and he's also appeared in flicks like Ron Howard's RUSH, THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM, and WOMAN IN GOLD. But he's not exactly gonna get top billing in a film that unites roughly 110% of the Marvel universe. GOD PARTICLE should be a good step for the talented actor who deserves more face time with audiences.

GOD PARTICLE:

takes place in the near future. It centers on a team of astronauts who make a terrifying discovery that challenges all they know about the fabric of reality, as they desperately fight for their survival.

GOD PARTICLE already features David Oyelowo (SELMA) and Gugu Mbatha-Raw (BEYOND THE LIGHTS), with John Krasinski (The Office) and Elizabeth Debicki (THE GREAT GATSBY) on board as well. It's directed by Julius Onah The film is set to hit theaters on February 24, 2017.
