The ghouls over a Bloody Disgusting got their claws on a interesting piece of indie horror news regarding director Buddy Giovinazzo. If the name is unfamiliar, the man directed the seriously unhinged 1986 Troma flick COMBAT SHOCK (which is worth seeking out if you’ve never encountered it); he also recently contributed to the upcoming anthology THE THEATRE BIZARRE, as well as to the Cinemax show “Femme Fatales”. According to Bloody, Giovinazzo is looking to continue his resurgence with a ghostly horror project called GINGER.

GINGER will star scream queen Elissa Dowling (DAHMER VS. GACY) and Marc Senter (RED WHITE & BLUE); Senter will play a music blogger named Mark who discovers an up and coming singer, Ginger (Dowling). He travels to interview her in an old house in the mountains where strange things begin to happen. Apparently, the previous owners were mass murders and now the house in haunted by malevolent spirits.

GINGER will begin production next week in Los Angeles. More details should be haunting us soon…
