Cool Horror Gear: NECA's 8-bit Freddy Krueger figure

NECA's video game inspired Jason Voorhees figure proved to be popular as one of their Comic-Con exclusives this year and now they've brought the same style to another horror icon with Freddy Krueger. The figure is based on the 1989 video game and it looks cool as hell!

Freddy is the companion piece to the Friday the 13th Classic Video Game Jason, one of the hottest SDCC Exclusives this Summer. Released in 1989 for the super popular 8-Bit home console, the video game Nightmare on Elm Street is so bad… it’s good.

A cult classic if there ever was one, NECA’s Freddy Krueger (1989 Video Game Appearance) will be a fully articulated 7-inch figure done up in that truly horrifying video game deco. This figure comes in a special window box packaging with opening flap to re-create the look and feel of the classic 1989 video game packaging.

What's great is that you won't have to wait until next year's Comic-Con to get your hands on it. The figure will be available in November as a limited edition release so if you plan on snagging one then you'll have to act fast once a pre-order is available.
