We here at AITH love ourselves a balls-to-the-wall action flick. So the CRANK franchise is right down our alley! Though I expected more from CRANK… I’m still excited for CRANK 2: HIGH VOLTAGE.
Considering the ending to the first film, a sequel is just a tad ridiculous, but then again the idea fits right in with the atmosphere of the franchise. A dude has to keep up his adrenaline or his heart will stop. Works for me. When that dude is Jason Statham, that spells all kinds of violent fun! From gunfights to getting face to face with an entire gang, to getting a little oral loving while in a high speed chase… CRANK was definitely in it’s own league.
Will CRANK 2 follow along the same route? The plot seems to be about the same, except instead of adrenaline, Mr. Statham will need jolts of electricity to keep his heart ticking this time. We scored a very NSFW CRANK 2 promo over in our videos section. Dare I say this flick looks like it might be the perfect guy movie? It’s got several instances of gorgeous females, insane action, the beautiful Amy Smart (below), some gore and all. Pretty much the definition of badass?
