Don’t Breathe 2: Stephen Lang’s Blind Man featured in first look image

The long-awaited sequel to Fede Alvarez's 2016 film Don't Breathe (watch it HERE) is heading for an August 13th theatrical release, and now USA Today has unveiled a first look image from Don't Breathe 2 that shows us Stephen Lang, back in the role of the Blind Man and wielding a hammer. The image can be seen below.

The first Don't Breathe was written by Alvarez and Rodo Sayagues, and Sayagues has taken the helm of Don't Breathe 2. Alvarez and Sayagues once again crafted the script together, this time telling a story that's set

several years after the home invasion of the first movie, with the Blind Man living in quiet solace… until his past sins catch up to him.

The Blind Man has been hiding out for years in an isolated cabin and has taken in and raised a young girl orphaned from a house fire. Their quiet existence is shattered when a group of kidnappers show up and take the girl, forcing the Blind Man to leave his safe haven to save her.

Producer Sam Raimi has said that the story Alvarez and Sayagues came up with is "only the greatest idea for a sequel I've ever heard." We'll see just how well it works in three months.
