We've been hearing good things about Award Winning trailer editor GARO SETIAN'S feature length directing debut, AUTOMATION. Our very own John Fallon caught a private screening of the film last December and had this to say on his FB: "Ambitious beyond its means, often bleakly hilarious, at times moving (last frames got me) while acting as a potent social commentary.”  

And today, we’re finally able to give you a reveal of the film’s KICK ASS POSTER (along with some choice pics) in this EXCLUSIVE FIRST LOOK. Take a gander below! 

AUTOMATION stars genre vets Elissa Dowling (Rootwood, The Girl on the 3rd Floor), Sadie Katz (Bus Party to Hell, Blood Feast, Wrong Turn 6), Parry Shen (Hatchet 1 – 3,Victor Crowley, General Hospital), Graham Skipper (Sequence Break, Almost Human, Beyond the Gates), Sarah French (Art of the Dead, Blind, The Special) and it tells the heart warming and ripping tale of:  

When a prototype automated worker robot named Auto has proven successful on the night shift at ALERT INSULATION, plans are put in motion to replace almost all the human employees with the next generation of robots — but to Auto's dismay, he is also to be replaced by the new and improved robots — something he refuses to accept, and takes murderous action to prevent.

Epic Pictures has acquired the film for release later on this year. But if you’re in the LA area, you have the opportunity to catch this unique sci-fi thriller early as it will be showing at the Hollywood Horrorfest at 11:30am on Saturday August 10th as part of their Program 2 block. AUTOMATION was produced by the husband and wife team of Garo and Anahit Setian for their company "Hungry Monster Entertainment," and is Garo’s directorial debut. Garo is a multi-award winning trailer editor who has cut over 370 trailers and television spots for movies. The film was written by Garo Setian, Rolfe Kanefsky (The Black Room, There's Nothing Out There) and Matthew L. Schaffer (Dirty Lies).

Hungry Monster Entertainment partnered up with producers Mike Elliott and Greg Holstein (3 From Hell, Death Race 2-4) and Joseph P. Genier (Teen Wolf) and Rob Kerchner (Razortooth) of Capital Arts Entertainment to bring Automation to life.  

The film is also produced by Esther Goodstein (Slay Bells, Art of the Dead) and Dan Bowen (Alaska: The Final Frontier, Penn & Teller: Fool Us), in addition to Ted Smith (Guardian of the Realm), Robert Parigi (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Love Object) Allen Copeland (Untold Horror) and Charlie Klinakis.
