Fallen Kingdom preview shows Jurassic World going up in smoke

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom J.A. Bayona Bryce Dallas Howard Justice Smith

A week and a half ago, a brief teaser for the upcoming JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM trailer arrived online. I usually find "teasers for trailers" to be pretty useless, and this one didn't change my mind since it only offered six seconds of Chris Pratt making friends with a baby raptor. Not exactly thrilling stuff in my book.

The first trailer for the JURASSIC WORLD sequel is set to be released this Thursday, and in anticipation of this a couple more trailer teases have been unveiled. One of them is just a few quick flashes of clips from the trailer, which doesn't do much for me. I'd rather just wait for the full trailer.

But the other one, a 15 second clip from the film, that's more like it. That shows something very interesting. Rumor has been going around the JURASSIC PARK fan community for quite a while now that this fifth film in the franchise would deal with a volcano eruption destroying the dinosaurs' island home, and this trailer tease confirms that rumor to be true. A volcano is erupting, dinosaurs are stampeding, and Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard once again find themselves in the middle of a bad situation.

Directed by J.A. Bayona from a screenplay by Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly, JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM also stars Daniella Pineda, Toby Jones, Rafe Spall, Justice Smith, Ted Levine, Geraldine Chaplin, Brooke Norbury, B.D. Wong, and Jeff Goldblum.

The film is scheduled to be released on June 22, 2018. The first trailer hits in just three days.
