The folks over at Dread Central snagged an early look at MANIAC director Franck Khalfoun’s AMITYVILLE: THE AWAKENING. If you think these pictures look bootlegged that's because they are! The stills come directly from the film's trailer that's attached to SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR, which happens to open this weekend. Nice! That must mean we'll be seeing the trailer online sometime soon, which might help explain why this guy is eating all those poor flies.
The set-up for this one sounds exactly like you would expect an AMITYVILLE film to go down as it sees a single mother—played by Jennifer Jason Leigh—and her three kids find themselves in a haunted house shit storm when they discover the very dark history of the infamous “Amityville” house.
The film is due to hit theaters on January 2, 2015. Bella Thorne, McKenna Grace, Cameron Monaghan, Taylor Spreitler, Thomas Mann and Jennifer Morrison also star.
