Found-footage Bigfoot flick The Lost Coast Tapes set to hit AFM next month

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

You guys remember that found-footage Bigfoot flick I told you about earlier this month, right? Dubbed THE LOST COAST TAPES, the flick had one of the best one-sheets I’ve ever seen and was just oozing with potential. Seriously, this thing feels like it’s going to be awesome.

Well considering today is a pretty slow news day I’ve decided to bring you all an update on THE LOST COAST TAPES coming at us courtesy of Variety. It’s nothing worth writing home about but apparently the found-footage romp will be hitting the American Film Market next month with hopes of scoring itself a sale. My guess is it won’t take long to find one. Continental Media will be shopping this one out with producers Chevez Frazier of New Breed Entertainment and Chris Beal.

A cynical investigative journalist and his documentary team travel to a remote cabin to debunk a Cryptozoologist’s claim of finding a dead Bigfoot, but their film quickly becomes a record of their life and battle against an unseen horror.

“The Lost Coast Tapes” documents the found footage of a skeptical …journalist who aims to prove there is no such thing as Bigfoot after someone reports they have the body of a dead sasquatch. The film will take the audience through a thrilling ride of events in the deep, dark forests and countryside of the Lost Coast, and will be sure to leave viewers on the edge of their seat.

It seems Continental Media founder Matthew Shreder also hopes for a quick sale, stating: “Combining the p.o.v.-horror format with the folklore of Bigfoot, this completed film is sure to gain traction with a global audience.” Let’s hope so Mr. Shreder.

Coming from the writing duo of Brian Kelsey and Bryan O’Cain and director Corey Grant, THE LOST COAST TAPES stars Drew Rausch, Rich McDonald, Noah Weisberg, Frank Ashmore and Ashley Wood (below). You can bet we’ll bring you any updates that stomp our way for THE LOST COAST TAPES, which my guess is will come sooner rather than later.
