Scream: The Series Bella Thorne

Over the last few years, Bella Thorne has taken acting roles in a bunch of different thriller and genre projects. Thorne-related movies we've covered here on Arrow in the Head include AMITYVILLE: THE AWAKENING, KEEP WATCHING, YOU GET ME, THE BABYSITTER, ASSASSINATION NATION, RIDE, I STILL SEE YOU, LEAVE NOT ONE ALIVE, and THE FRIENDSHIP GAME. She also appeared in the Scream TV series (pictured above.)

Now we're going to find out how much Thorne has learned about making a thriller while working on these sets, because she has signed on to make her feature directorial debut with a thriller being produced by Eric B. Fleischman's Defiant Studios, David Bernon of Burn Later Productions, and Maurice Fadida of Kodiak Pictures.

Excuse me, the project is being described as not just a thriller but an "elevated thriller". Because the word "elevated" always gets people hyped.

The screenplay for this elevated thriller has been written by Zander Coté… and that's all we know. The plot is being kept under wraps and the title hasn't been revealed.

David Bernon had this to say:

We are thrilled to partner with Bella on her feature directing debut. She’s about to leave an indelible mark on the genre, and we can’t wait for audiences to discover her bold vision."

It has to be noted that this is Thorne's feature directorial debut, because she made her directorial debut earlier this year with a well-reviewed, award-winning pornographic short called HER & HIM.

Thorne will be taking an supporting acting role in her elevated thriller. The film is expected to go into production next summer.
