Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Director Jason Reitman’s GHOSTBUSTERS 2020 is headed our way next summer starring Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Carrie Coon, and Paul Rudd. And today we have word via Reitman over on Instagram that filming has wrapped after 68 days.

Specifically, he writes:

Wrapped! 68 days and still smiling.

The cast currently includes Carrie Coon as a single mother, with Finn Wolfhard as her son, Mckenna Grace as her daughter, and Paul Rudd as a teacher. GHOSTBUSTERS stars set to return include Bill Murray as Peter Venkman, Dan Aykroyd as Raymond Stantz, Sigourney Weaver as Dana Barrett, Annie Potts as Janine Melnitz, and Ernie Hudson as Winston Zeddemore.

GHOSTBUSTERS 2020 is said to focus on a family

who moves back home to a small town. While there, they begin to learn more about who they are and the secrets of the town itself.

As if you need a refresher, the original film began:

After the members of a team of scientists (Harold Ramis, Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray) lose their cushy positions at a university in New York City, they decide to become "ghostbusters" to wage a high-tech battle with the supernatural for money. They stumble upon a gateway to another dimension, a doorway that will release evil upon the city. The Ghostbusters must now save New York from complete destruction.

That's all we know at the moment, but I'm thinking we can expect to see all of this tie back to the original team of Ghostbusters in some way. But again, who knows? I guess We'll find out come July 10, 2020. Until then let us know how excited you are for this new GHOSTBUSTERS movie below!
