That’s right folks, today we’ve got not one rating for you – but two! Can’t beat that right?
The guys over at Rope of Silicon were nice enough to point out the latest MPAA Ratings Bulletin. Why? Well we’re only really concerned with a couple reasons: HOSTEL 3 & WRONG TURN 4: BLOODY BEGINNINGS.
Hmmm… So I wonder what these things could be rated? Considering the previous installments in both franchises I’d say it’s a safe bet to say they’ll both be pretty hard Rs. And the survey says….. Rated R! Bingo! HOSTEL 3 has been tapped for the coveted R rating because of strong bloody sadistic violence and torture, sexuality/nudity and pervasive language. WRONG TURN 4 on the other hand has strong horror violence and gore, language, sexuality and brief drug use to thank for the beloved rating.
Kind of weird isn’t it? I mean we haven’t really heard much from the HOSTEL 3 camp and they’ve already got a rating tapped?! Where the hell has this thing been!? What we do know about the flick is that it comes from director Scott Spiegel and stars John Hensley, Thomas Kretschmann, Chris Coy, Skyler Stone, Brian Hallisay, Kip Pardue and Sarah Habel. Oh and we’ve got the rundown:
HOSTEL 3 revolves around a Vegas bachelor party that turns grisly when the groom learns that his longtime best friend has targeted him for ritual murder.
As far as WRONG TURN 4 goes, well that one has Declan O’Brien at the helm with Terra Vnesa (below), Dean Armstrong, Sean Skene, Daniel Skene, Rick Skene, Scott Johnson, Kaitlyn Wong, Jennifer Pudavick and Tenika Davis all starring. Here’s the synopsis:
Follows a group of friends that decide to go snowmobiling during their winter break. They make a “wrong turn”, getting lost in a storm, and seek shelter in an abandoned sanatorium. They are completely isolated by the storm and are thankful they can get out of the elements. But the sanatorium has a troubled past, and some of its former patients still reside there and are not happy about the intrusion. In a deadly game of cat and mouse, the college kids must fight to survive the night.
So there you have it folks! Looks like we’re in store for some nice, sexy, gory fun with HOSTEL 3 and WRONG TURN 4. We already know that WRONG TURN 4 will be hitting DVD and Blu-Ray on October 25th but your guess is as good as mine as to when we might be seeing HOSTEL 3.
