IT’s 2nd week sales are Fandango’s best ever for a horror movie

 As some of you guys out there may have suspected, the massive box-office of director Andres Muschietti's take on STEPHEN KING'S IT isn't going to be slowing down anytime soon as today we just got word that IT's second weekend is going to be a monster as well.

Fandango just sent us some numbers and it turns out that IT has topped their charts for the second week straight (see graph below) and as of today, the second-week sales of IT are the best the company has ever seen for a horror movie. EVER.

In fact, the flick's second-week sales nearly doubled the previous record-holder GET OUT's total, with the company's "Fanticipation movie buzz indicator" getting 89 out of 100 points (whatever that means).

'It' isn’t clowning around as it continues to attract new fans and repeat viewers. Horror has never been hotter at the box office, especially smart, well-crafted thrillers like ‘It’ that break new ground. We can expect to see ‘It’ remaining a King-size hit for the rest of the month.

Oh, boy. "…isn't clowning around…King-size hit…" Heaven, help us… It might be (penny) wise for this man to cool it with the puns.

Anyhow, I'm not surprised that the film is taking off like it is because now will be the time for soccer moms to find out what their kids have been talking about all week. And I can't wait to see their reactions…
