Naomie Harris will play the villain Shriek in Venom 2 with Tom Hardy

MOGLI director and LORD OF THE RINGS actor Andy Serkis will helm VENOM 2 with Tom Hardy this fall. And today we hear that Naomie Harris will play Carnage’s romantic interest and Venom villain Shriek in the new film. Shriek was first introduced in 1993 during the Maximum Carnage storyline.

She's described as

the sonic-powered accomplice and romantic interest of serial killer Cletus Kasaday, aka Carnage, the monstrous archenemy of Venom. A drug dealer named Frances Barrison became the volatile Shriek after severe trauma allowed her latent mutant powers to emerge. In the comics, those powers include sonic energy blasts, flight, and the ability to stir up dark and violent emotions in others.

Harris joins Hardy who is reprising the role of Eddie Brock, along with Michelle Williams as Eddie's wife Anne, and Woody Harrelson as Cletus Kasady / Carnage. How excited are YOU for Andy Serkis' VENOM 2? Make sure to hit us up and let us know below!

Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of sci-fi violence and action, and for language, the original film followed the adventures of

Eddie Brock, a broken man after he loses everything including his job and fiancee. Just when his life is at its lowest, he becomes host to an alien symbiote which results in extraordinary superpowers – transforming him into Venom. Will these powers be enough for this new lethal protector to defeat great evil forces, especially against the far stronger and more weaponized symbiote rival, Riot?

VENOM was directed by Ruben Fleischer (ZOMBIELAND) and features Tom Hardy (THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, MAD MAX: FURY ROAD), Michelle Williams (SPECIES), Riz Ahmed (ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY), Jenny Slate (HOTEL ARTEMIS), and Woody Harrelson (ZOMBIELAND, NATURAL BORN KILLERS). Jeff Pinkner & Scott Rosenberg and Kelly Marcel wrote the script, Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, and Amy Pascal produced.

VENOM is now available on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD. Buy it HERE.
