Unhinged Russell Crowe Derrick Borte

Here's some good news and some disappointing news. The good news is that the Russell Crowe road rage thriller UNHINGED now has an official release date. The disappointing news is that the release date is 11 months away.

Up to this point, Solstice Studios has been saying they'd be releasing UNHINGED in the "third quarter of 2020". Now they've announced that they'll be giving the film a wide theatrical release on August 28, 2020.

Directed by Derrick Borte from a screenplay by Carl Ellsworth, UNHINGED was filmed in New Orleans and wrapped production last month. Starring Russell Crowe and Caren Pistorius, the film takes

an ordinary, everyday incident to its most terrifying conclusion in telling the story of Rachel (Pistorius), a mother who leans on her horn at the wrong time, to the wrong guy (Crowe). Road rage doesn't begin to describe what he is about to do to her and everyone she knows.

Gabriel Bateman and Jimmi Simpson are also in the cast. UNHINGED was produced by Lisa Ellzey.

The chance to watch Crowe play a raging maniac sounds very appealing to me, so I'll definitely be watching UNHINGED once the release date finally comes around.
