Stephen King's IT rated R for violence/horror, bloody images, and language

We have been hearing news since the beginning of production that the new adaptation of STEPHEN KING'S IT was going to be shooting for an R-rating, but today we can officially confirm that, yes, IT will be rated R!

The MPAA has just slapped IT will an R-rating for "Violence/horror, bloody images, and for language."

To celebrate this occasion let's all get together yet again and rewatch the movie's horrifically amazing trailer, which you can find below. STEPHEN KING'S IT synopsis:

When children begin to disappear in the town of Derry, Maine, a group of young kids are faced with their biggest fears when they square off against an evil clown named Pennywise, whose history of murder and violence dates back for centuries.

STEPHEN KING'S IT: PART I will be released nationwide on SEPTEMBER 8TH!

Extra Tidbit: This should make up for THE DARK TOWER's eventual PG-13 rating.
