The Cloverfield Paradox hits Blu-ray & DVD this February

One of the things that sucks about being a "Netflix Original" movie is that you don't get a proper Blu-ray DVD release. This means no special features (so to speak) and no audio commentaries and whatnot. But that changes today as we have word that THE CLOVERFIELD PARADOX (pre-order HERE) will be arriving on Blu-ray and DVD this February from Paramount Home Media Distribution. This news isn't exciting because of, you know, the movie in question, but because maybe now I can finally own flicks such as Mike Flanagan's HUSH on disc. Fingers crossed.

Anyhow, back to CLOVERFIELD 3: IN SPACE. The third film in producer J.J. Abrams’ franchise follows

A group of scientists orbiting Earth on the brink of a devastating energy war. They prepare to test a device that could provide unlimited power…or trap them in a terrifying alternate reality.

The Blu-ray release will feature over 25 minutes of never-before-seen bonus content including behind-the-scenes interviews with the cast and crew, and will also be available as part of the new CLOVERFIELD 3-Movie Collection on Blu-ray and DVD (pre-order HERE). THE CLOVERFIELD PARADOX Blu-ray and DVD each include a making-of documentary that delves into the inspiration for the story and how the film went from concept and design to completion. The discs also include interviews with the cast as they reflect on the experience of bringing the sci-fi thriller to life.

Directed by Julius Onah, written by Oren Uziel and Doug Jung the film features an international cast including Daniel Brühl, Elizabeth Debicki, Aksel Hennie, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Chris O’Dowd, John Ortiz, David Oyelowo, and Ziyi Zhang.
