The Conjuring 3 begins filming this June

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Director James Wan (THE CONJURING and THE CONJURING 2) recently announced he was passing THE CONJURING 3 directing duties to Michael Chaves, who made his feature debut on the Wan production THE CURSE OF LA LLORONA (which isn't part of the Conjuring Universe). Supposedly, THE CONJURING 3 will be taking on Bill Ramsey aka The Southend Werewolf, but this has not been confirmed yet. But that said, today we have news that we will be finding out sooner rather than later as this new entry in the famous horror franchise is all set to begin filming in Atlanta this June.

Nice! I'm excited to see the third (and final?) entry in THE CONJURING series is coming to us sooner than I expected. Sure June is still a ways off, but that's okay. I'd rather the powers that be behind the scenes take their time and bring us a quality third film than rush to grab a few quick bucks from us.

Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga will be returning to star in THE CONJURING 3 as real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, but before that, they will be appearing in writer-director Gary Dauberman's ANNABELLE 3. The film begins with

the Warrens bringing the Annabelle doll to a place where she can no longer wreak havoc: their Artifacts Room. Annabelle awakens the room’s evil which sets its sights on a new target: the Warrens’ ten year old daughter Judy. The young girl, along with her teenage babysitter cousin and the cousin’s friend, square off against the evil doll.

That film costars Mckenna Grace as their daughter Judy, Madison Iseman as her babysitter/cousin, and Katie Sarife as Iseman's best friend. ANNABELLE 3 was originally scheduled to reach theatres on July 3rd, but Warner Bros. has since moved it up five days to June 28th.
