The Haunting of Sharon Tate trailer & poster

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Writer/director Daniel Farrands's THE HAUNTING OF SHARON TATE starring Hilary Duff of all people as the titular Sharon Tate just released its first trailer not long ago and it was met with its fair share of controversy. First, it went and featured actual crime scene pictures and audio of Charles Manson himself singing. It has since been blocked and/or removed from YouTube so I hope you checked it out when you had the chance.

But either way you have another chance today as the trailer is back online – and it came with a poster!

The supernatural horror film which revolves around the final days in the life of actress Sharon Tate before she was murdered by members of the "family" led by Charles Manson in 1969 has been rated R for "strong bloody violence, terror, and some language." Hot damn those are some strong reasons for being slapped with an R-rating, huh? As if you really needed to know much more about the movie, here is the synopsis:

The story takes a look at the last days leading up to Sharon Tate's death from her point of view. The plot is inspired by an actual quote from Tate, from an interview published a year before her death, wherein she reveals having dreams about ghosts haunting her house and foreseeing her own death at the hands of a satanic cult.

Duff's co-stars include Jonathan Bennett, Lydia Hearst, Pawel Szajda, Fivel Stewart, Tyler Johnson, Bella Popa, Ryan Cargill, and Ben Mellish as Charles Manson. The U.S. distribution rights are in the hands of Saban Films and we will let you know as soon as they figure out a release date for the movie. Until then, what do you make of THE HAUNTING OF SHARON TATE? Do you find it tasteless? Let us know below!
