The Purge sequel adds four more cast members

Casting has begun for Blumhouse and Universal's sequel to this summer’s micro-budget horror-thriller THE PURGE and just last week we learned that THE GREY's Frank Grillo had signed on to take the leading role under returning THE PURGE helmer James DeMonaco, who is also writing and producing. Now we have four more names to add to the growing cast list as THR is sharing that "Boardwalk Empire" actor Michael K. Williams, SPARKLE star Carmen Ejogo, "Friday Night Lights" actor Zach Gilford and A PERFECT GETAWAY actress Kiele Sanchez have signed on for THE PURGE 2.

Williams is known for his roles as Omar Little on HBO's "The Wire" and Chalky White on "Boardwalk Empire". His recent film credits include 12 YEARS A SLAVE and the upcoming ROBOCOP.

Ejogo's most recent projects include actioner ALEX CROSS and musical drama SPARKLE.

Gilford, who starred as Matt Saracen on TV's "Friday Night Lights", has more recently appeared on "The Mob Doctor" and feature film THE LAST STAND.

Sanchez has appeared on several TV series including "The Glades", "Samantha Who?" and "Lost".

Returning alongside writer-director-producer DeMonaco and Jason Blum to produce the next chapter of the thriller are Sebastien Lemercier and Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes.
