Tyler Labine teases more Tucker and Dale vs. Evil

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Eli Craig's 2010 (God, I feel old) horror-comedy TUCKER AND DALE VS EVIL starring Tyler Labine and Alan Tudyk has become the definition of a cult classic over the past nine years. And so it excites the hell out of this horror fan to pass along word straight from Labine's own mouth that Tucker and Dale will return to battle evil again (hopefully) soon! Labine was just talking ESCAPE ROOM and said this about a possible TUCKER & DALE follow-up:

We’re working on something right now. I wouldn’t call it a film sequel, but the story is not done being told. I can’t really tell you much, but we’re in development with a couple of things right now. Things are looking pretty good. Alan [Tudyk] and I are both still on board, along with Eli [Craig, director]. We’re just trying to line up a few pieces. It’s just a matter of timing. We’re going to get something to the fans because that’s really the only reason we want to do it. No one’s getting rich off this thing. Alan and I have always been like, “Whatever we do has to be for the people that stuck with it and made it what it is.” That’s all the fans. Hopefully, something will come to fruition.

I don't know about you, but I hope this means that the further adventures of Tucker and Dale will be taking place in a more long-form world aka a TV series. Netflix would be the perfect place for such a series considering how much TRAILER PARK BOYS they put out on a regular basis. This could be your horror version of that series, Netflix. Get on it and make sure to bring back Katrina Bowden (PIRANHA 3DD) while you're at it!

Directed by Eli Craig from a screenplay he co-wrote along with Morgan Jurgenson TUCKER AND DALE VS EVIL followed

Two scruffy pals' (Tyler Labine, Alan Tudyk) backwoods vacation takes a bloody turn when ignorant college students mistake them for a pair of murderous hillbillies.

Jurgenson produced along with Albert Klychak, Rosanne Milliken, and Deepak Nayar. Labine, Tudyk, and Bowden's costars included Jesse Moss and Chelan Simmons. If you don't already own the horror-comedy on Blu-ray, no worries, you can head on over to Amazon and snag a copy HERE.
