News is flowing out of the San Diego Comic Con like a severed neck from the latest Jason Voorhees victim, and our homies over at JoBlo.com are bringing it our way like it was going out of style. Among the many tidbits of information, it looks like Joss Whedon decided to drop a few lines about what he’s working on next, and it’s looking mighty fine to horror fans around the world!

The man behind the BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER TV series (and it’s spin-offs) and SERENITY (and it’s TV show, FIREFLY) is gearing up to possibly make the horror flick CABIN IN THE WOODS, which he co-wrote with Drew Goddard. So what’s WOODS all about? All he would say is that WOODS would be … the horror film to end all horror films… literally. Holy shite! Those are some serious words right there, and coming from Whedon… I kinda believe him!

With a title like CABIN IN THE WOODS, it doesn’t take a flippin’ genius to link other horror greats like EVIL DEAD and FRIDAY THE 13TH (among others) as to the possibilities of good times that could be had here. I’m so there!

Whedon also had news of yet another BUFFY spin-off he may be doing… and to see what that is, you’re gonna have to head over this way to find out.
