Netflix announced the premiere dates for 11 series yesterday, and among them was the date when we can start binge watching Stranger Things, a supernatural thriller/drama series starring Winona Ryder. All eight episodes of the show will go live on Netflix.com at 12:01am PT on Friday, July 15th.

Set in 1980 Indiana and described as "a love letter to the '80s classics that captivated a generation", Stranger Things begins when

a young boy vanishes into thin air. As friends, family, and local police search for answers, they are drawn into an extraordinary mystery involving top secret experiments, terrifying supernatural forces, and one very strange little girl.

'80s references and settings are always a good way to draw my attention to any project.

Ryder's co-stars include David Harbour, Cara Buono, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, and Matthew Modine.

The series was written and directed by twin brothers Matt and Ross Duffer, who were also the showrunners and executive produced with Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen.
