Kidnappers run afoul of an angry slasher in writer/director Joshua Hull's horror/comedy CHOPPING BLOCK, which LC Films will be releasing on Blu-ray, DVD, and Vimeo On Demand on August 30th.

Described as a cross between Roger Corman and CLERKS era Kevin Smith, CHOPPING BLOCK

follows a group of corporate guys who get laid off. Desperate times call for desperate measures. They decide to kidnap their ex-boss's daughter for ransom. Things take a bloody turn, when the boss's daughter just happens to be the only survivor of a masked psychopath. A masked psychopath still out for blood. Hilarity & bloodshed ensue…

Haley Jay Madison, Michael Malone, Jas Sams, Melissa Revels, Bob East, Nick Wayne, and Bryan Wilson star.

The trailer, which can be viewed below, makes the film look like a lot of fun to me. If it looks appealing to you as well, you can pre-order the disc release on LCFilms.com or pre-order the streaming version (which comes with a gag reel and outtakes bonus feature) on Vimeo.

A wider VOD and retail release will follow later this year.
