Hostel on DVD

It seems like only yesterday when HOSTEL hit theaters, showed us our darkest fears and exploited the shit outta them. Easily one of the great horror masterpieces of this new generation of filmmakers. And today DVDActive gave us the heads up when we can own HOSTEL , and relive the magic over and over and over again.

April 18th is the day when your worse nightmare comes true… and that’s a good thing! The disc will not only feature the R rated film, but the nastier, gorier and even more f*cked up unrated version. This is the way unrated films were meant to be seen!

Presented in anamorphic widescreen (2.35:1), commentary by Eli Roth and Quentin Tarantino (among others, including AICN’s Harry Knowles), a making of featurette entitled “Hostel Dissected”, and a “Kill the Car” multi-angle interactive feature. Should be fun times all around- especially the commentary hrere- I’d love to hear what Tarantino & Roth have to say about this piece of work.

The DVD coverart is above, and while it’s pretty sweet in it’s simplicity, it doesn’t have the hittin’ effect of the other savage theaterical posters that popped up everywhere a month ago. Ah well, there’s an uncut version coming, so I have nothing to complain about.

It’s time to celebrate four twenty a bit early this year when HOSTEL hits DVD April 18th.
