Hugh Jackman may never get the chance to play James Bond, but he may get to play the real man who inspired Ian Fleming's character of M. The highly touted script for SECTION 6 was purchased over the weekend for over a million dollars and it is said that Jackman is one of many stars who is looking at the project.

SECTION 6 was written by Alex Berg and is the historical spy thriller follows the World War I-era formation of British intelligence agency MI6 and its first director, Sir George Mansfield Cummings, who served as the inspiration for M. Universal won the bidding rights for the screenplay and is currently in the very early stages with the project. Needless to say, directors are eying the project as well, including Brett Ratner and Justin Lin.

Whether it be action, drama, or even comedy, Hugh Jackman has proven himself an adept and talented actor of the highest caliber. After being nominated last year for LES MISERABLES, it looks likely that he could secure a nomination for this year's PRISONERS. Depending on who gets involved with SECTION 6, it could turn into an action flick or a solid drama/thriller. I am hoping for a combination of both.

Who would you like to see in SECTION 6 alongside Jackman? And, for that matter, who would you like to see direct? I am okay with Justin Lin, but keep Ratner the hell away from a project with this much potential.
